Attending general dental examinations and hygiene appointments is important for your dental health and your overall health.

With regular dental checkups we are able to catch dental issues early on before they before a larger issue and prevent any issues showing up at all by giving you information on how to care for your oral health at home.

  • This is a common question, some individuals require more often professional dental cleaning and examination appointments than others do. This will be determined and discussed at your initial appointment.

    This is because we are all individuals and our bodies all react differently to the bacteria in our mouth.

    We can require more regular dental checkups and cleaning appointments if;

    • We have an compromised immune system

    • Individuals with diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, osteoarthritis

    • Family history of the above illnesses

    • People undergoing cancer or radiation treatment

    • Family history of gum (periodontal) disease or tooth decay

    • Smokers

    • Active gum disease or tooth decay

    • Dry mouth

    • Oral hygiene habits

    • Hormonal changes such as being pregnant, menopause or going through puberty

    We are also able to bulk bill eligible children under the child dental benefit scheme.

    We also accept health insurance for your check ups and cleaning and can claim on the spot if you bring your health fund card to your appointment.

  • We do not offer just a teeth cleaning. But rest assured that our packages include your dental check up prior as we cannot provide you with the best care if you do not have a check up as well.

  • Yes everyone is welcome to make an appointment, we are non judgmental and take pride in giving our patients a great dental experience and will walk you through every step of your dental exam and teeth cleaning appointment.

  • Dental plaque is a constantly forming bacteria and starts to form as soon as we stop brushing our teeth. Our goal is to be in charge of the composition of the bacteria in our mouth to ensure we have healthy oral microbes instead of oral bacteria that could be doing harm to our bodies and our oral health!

    Professional oral hygiene visits are the only way calculus and tartar can be removed from your teeth. By removing this buildup that occurs we are helping to decrease your risk for gum disease (periodontal disease). Plaque which is a soft, sticky bacteria is also removed during these dental hygiene appointments. When plaque is not removed from the teeth our risk for tooth decay and other oral diseases increases.
